BeamControl LLC ("we", "our" or "company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when using the BeamControl mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

BeamControl is designed to operate offline and collect minimal data:

  • Device Configurations: Remote control settings (device names, button layouts) are stored locally on your device only. We do NOT transmit this data to our servers.
  • Anonymous Device ID: Generated by your device, used for ad delivery (if using free tier) and analytics. This ID does not personally identify you.
  • Usage Analytics (Firebase Analytics): We collect anonymous usage data to understand how you use the app and improve it. This includes:
    • Features accessed (e.g., "device added", "screen viewed")
    • App performance metrics (crashes, loading times)
    • Device information (model, OS version, app version)
    • General location (country/region level only, NOT precise location)
    All analytics data is anonymized and cannot be linked to your identity.
  • Crash Reports: Anonymous crash logs (device model, OS version, app version) are automatically sent to Firebase to help fix bugs.

WE DO NOT COLLECT: Names, emails, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, photos, messages or any personal information.

2. How We Use Information

  • Device Configurations: Stored locally to remember your devices and settings.
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymous data helps us:
    • Understand which features are most used
    • Improve app performance and user experience
    • Fix bugs and crashes
    • Measure effectiveness of new features
  • Advertising (Free Tier Only): Anonymous device ID used by Google AdMob to display relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in device settings.
  • Crash Reporting: Helps us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability.

3. Data Sharing

We share anonymous data with the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase Analytics: Processes anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the app. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdMob (free tier only): Displays ads based on anonymous device ID. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase Crash Reporting: Receives anonymous crash data to help us fix bugs.

IMPORTANT: We do NOT sell your data to third parties. All data shared is anonymized and used solely to improve app functionality.

4. Data Retention

  • Device Configurations: Stored on your device until you delete the app.
  • Analytics Data: Retained by Firebase for 14 months, then automatically deleted.
  • Crash Reports: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR (EU), LGPD (Brazil), CCPA (California) and similar laws, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of data we have about you (none, since we don't collect personal data).
  • Deletion: Delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
  • Opt-Out: Disable personalized ads in device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Advertising; Android: Settings > Google > Ads).

6. Security

We use encryption (AES-256) to protect device configurations stored on your device. Since we don't transmit data to servers, there is no network transmission risk.

7. Children's Privacy

BeamControl does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (COPPA) or 16 (GDPR). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will:

  • Post the updated policy on this website (beamcontrol.dofast.app/privacy.html)
  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Notify users through the app when material changes are made

Important: Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. The most current version will always be available at beamcontrol.dofast.app/privacy.html.

10. International Users
